Santa Baby

What did you wish for this year?

Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree, for me
I've been an awful good girl
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight...

Looks like good old Santa paid another visit ♥ Well, maybe just on your nails...

I also decided to do Santa's belt on my ring finger. On the thumb, I created the same Santa hat and added a coat of silver glitter.

See you next year Santa baby ♥

Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Sn❄w Bunny Take 2

❄ snow. bunny. ❄

Another snow bunny blog post!?
Yep.

I'm a huge fan of the Sally Hanson Effects Real Nail Polish Strips, and the brand has come out with six new holiday designs. I liked most of them, but this one really caught my eye. And coincidentally, it's called Snow Bunny...

Quick Review:
I'm a huge fan of these! These are sold at most drugstores for around $10; I also owned and have worn several other designs. I've found they last anywhere from 5-8 days with a good topcoat –– pretty good staying power, especially compared the Sephora's version of these (mine lasted 3 days)!
Also note that they're real nailpolish as opposed to stickers. So once you open the package, make sure to apply them right away or else they will dry up and not stick to your nails.
And definitely, definitely use a topcoat and keep applying it as the days go by. It will double the wear time.

Pick this limited edition design up while you can and be prepared for lots of compliments!

oh and also...

I'M OFFICIALLY ON WINTER BREAK @#$)(@#

Sn❄w Bunny

❄ snow. bunny. ❄

I love celebrating the holiday season on my nails. This look is not your typical snowflake or red and green design, but something different; and that's just what I wanted to start off with. Although pink is not really a color I associate with the holidays, all of the glitter and frostiness reminded me of the winter season.

❄ ❄

I started off this look with a light, pearlescent pink. The one I used was OPI's "Play the Peonies" from the collection Nice Stems, but any similar color will do.

Next, I added a a coat or two of a clear, multi-chromatic, fine glitter to add a subtle glitter base for the larger glitter. This is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Polish in "Disco Ball."

Before your second coat of Disco Ball has dried (as in right after you apply it), place on individual pieces of a larger multi-chromatic glitter. This can be purchased at any craft store, but the key is to find something relatively large (to show contrast to the fine glitter) and multi-chromatic. This will give an interesting effect to your nails and will change their appearance in different lights.

I used a toothpick to pick up the pieces of glitter, then placed them on my nails before the glitter top coat dried in the design of polka dots. This seems like a tedious process, but it actually only took about 30 seconds per nail; you want to be quick anyways because you do not want the polish underneath to dry. Remember to seal your design in with a top coat or else the glitter will come off.

Hope you enjoyed this cute and fun design. Happy Holidays, snow bunny
