Top 10 MAC Eyeshadows/Pigments

MAC is one of my favorite eyeshadow brands because of the high quality and pigmentation. I have loved every MAC eyeshadow I have ever owned, but I narrowed it down to my top 10 for you. Enjoy

1. All that Glitters - Veluxe Pearl

An extremely popular and flattering eyeshadow. This pinky-golden champagne color is flattering on any skin tone and eye color and is perfect for any occasion. It is extremely easy-to-wear and versatile, and is the perfect all over lid color!

2. Sable - Frost
A wearable shimmery brown shade. It pairs well with multiple other colors and is perfect for the crease for a more natural look or all over the lid for a neutral smokey eye. It is flattering on all eye colors and is a good staple for any collection.

3. Stars 'N' Rockets - Veluxe Pearl
Probably my favorite purple shade I've ever owned. It's a gorgeous unique pinky-purple with a blue duo-chrome (that the camera did not really pick up). This eyeshadow is perfect for lower-lashline pops of color as well as purple smokey eyes. It is a bit sheer with the first application but builds up quickly. The result is absolutely gorgeous...

4. Bronze - Frost

A beautiful deep bronze color. This shade is highly pigmented and blends easily. I especially love it for the summer season paired with bronze, dewy skin. It is also very wearable when placed in the outer corner of the eye and paired with other neutral shades. A must have for any fan of bronzy eyeshadows.

5. Satin Taupe - Frost

A very popular crease shade. A frosty taupey brown shade with purple undertones that is great for the crease or all over the lid. This color goes great with green and brown eyes because the purple undertones help bring out these eye colors. An easy-to-wear shade and a long-time favorite!

6. Jest - Frost

A gorgeous frosty pinky nude shade. Although this color looks average and uninteresting in the pan, on the eyes it creates a gorgeous almost "glowy" effect, which is why I love it for the summer. Great for the lid or inner corner highlight, this shade's pinky undertones help brighten and bring light to the eyes. I also love applying this shade to the tops of my cheekbones for a natural summer glow.

7. Gleam - ...Lustre

A glittery, shimmery golden coral shade. And yes... It's a lustre... I know many people try to stay away from these types of eyeshadows because of their extreme fallout and chunky glitter, but I promise you this color is gorgeous! The gold and coral undertones make it perfect for summer, especially for blue eyes. BUT I would definitely recommend using an eyeshadow base (as well as a primer underneath!) to avoid fallout and get full pigmentation potential. Without a base... well yeah that is tricky...

8. Silver Fog [Pigment]

A straight-up metallic silver color. This shade is stunning and eye-catching and perfect for silver smokey eyes. I love foiling it using MAC's Fix+ or applying it over a black eyeshadow base (such as the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean) for a reflective, true silver color.

9. Softwash Grey [Pigment]

A unique metallic blue-toned silvery grey. The camera does not really pick it up, but this color is practically a blue shade. A must-have for anyone who likes blue-silver shades. I have never seen a color like this, so I wanted to include it.

10. Love to Love [Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio]
Limited edition unfortunately, but if you can get your hands on it I'd recommend it!

An all-neutral Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio with three must-have shades. Okay...so this isn't really a single eyeshadow, but I mainly wanted to include it for Amber Lights (the center color). This medium orange-y golden shade is fabulous for blue eyes. I also love the other two colors in this trio––the one on the right is a satin cream shade that is perfect for the browbone, and the one on the left is a matte dark brown which is great in the crease or to smudge out eyeliner.

Barely There

I am currently OBSESSED with these light, light, almost white, "barely there" pink colors. I'm not sure why, but I've never been one to wear hot pink or red nail polish; however, the "barely there" pink nail trend has certainly caught my eye. This type of color brings the soft shades of spring with the freshness of summer and makes a classic statement on the nails without going too far. It goes well with any outfit and is appropriate for any occasion.

The classic favorite of mine has always been Essie's "Figi," but the streaky application makes this color a hassle to apply. A new polish that has caught my eye and is a current favorite among many youtube beauty gurus including Juicystar07, Allthatglitters21, and MakeupbyTiffanyD is OPI's "Sweetheart." Although the initial application is a bit sheer, the color builds up quickly and is a little softer and pinker than Figi. I am really enjoyed this color during the transition of the seasons, and I am sure I will be sporting the shade all throughout the summer. Maybe it will soon top Figi?

What do you think of this color?

The City

Ahhh... New York. Probably my favorite city in the world. Not only is there kickass shopping of course, but the scenery and atmosphere is unlike that of any area I have ever been to - I always feel "alive." From the amazing food, to the 5th Avenue shopping, to the long walks in Central Park, to the ever enjoyable shows on Broadway, I always enjoy my trips here. College in the city doesn't sound so bad either...

And I thought this was appropriate. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys
